Re: ipfire-2-19-core-update-111 and IDS not appearing to function

Hi freddofrog. Is very strange. To my, works very fine (I have 111 core update). Access via SSH using WinSCP or similar and look at the "/var/log" and copy the "messages" file to the computer desktop and edit it with Notepad++. Here the error will appear. Look at it and post it s...

Re: SSH port firewall rules

Good morning Alorotom. It can. If two servers service the same port, tell SSH on 22, you can not expect that you can access by cloning the rule for one. There must be some difference for IPFire to differentiate between one and the other. For example, Server 1, as Source Port you put 64000 and as Des...

Re: SSH port firewall rules

Good afternoon Szafran and Deepcuts. What Deepcuts tells you is correct, but independently, according to rules 17 and 18, 18 will never be fulfilled. Thinks that the Firewall is a device "dumb", since it does not consider the reason of the rules. In the Firewall, the rules are executed wit...

Re: Snort is not starting

Good afternoon DrUnknownEMC. I have ever had problems with the Snort boot, which I did was delete all the Snort databases and re-upgrade. The reason why it does not start can be a break database. Delete all content from "/etc/snort/rules" and from the GUI, update again. Tell us Greetings.

Re: Can Ipfire help me?

Hello again, domsheldon1. Maybe you need to make a static route in Cisco Router to send addressed OpenVPN requests to the Red interface of IPFire. As Cisco Router no know send packets to 192.168.1.0/24 because are in other ip range and he does not know how to get there. Is a idea. Try and tell us so...

Re: A problem or no problem?

Hi again domsheldon1. This is a small bug in this version. And the solution is very easy. 1. Access SSH with WinSCP (it is easier than the "vim" command) and edit the following file: /etc/rc.d/init.d/unbound 2. Move the line 442 and 443 to 439 and 440. That is, will be appear as this: Unbo...

Re: geoip

Good afternoon domsheldon1. If you mark all countries or only a few, something should appear in this section of "IPTABLES -> GEOIPBLOCK" as my previous attached image. Logically, you must apply Firewall changes. If not, something bad happens. I remember that happened with a time spent with...

Re: geoip

To test whether it works or not, you can try to go to another gateway, for example, with a cell phone, and with "tor" to test if it works. With "tor", detection will be or Anounimous Proxy or the site of node exit. Is very easy to try. https://www.torproject.org/download/download...

Re: Clamav Probleme

Hi armageddon. Is with exclussion put in squidclamav.conf?. That is, what happens to the Squidclamav module activated? If you turn it off, does it work? If so, make an exclusion in the Squidclamav.conf file located in /etc/squidclamav.conf. Without this also disabled, the solution (yes, temporary) i...
