IPv6 Address Reservations in IPFire

Verizon has recently made a change to their service so that they will not give out static IPv4 addresses, only IPv6. For security purposes, we have a firewall rule setup to only allow specific IP addresses in, which are setup as a group of IPv4 addresses. Is there a way to do the same thing with IPv...

Re: eMMC Installation: No Disk Found

I have tried several more iterations of the nightly builds since the last post and I'm still get stuck at the "Welcome to GRUB" screen. Is there a fix possible for this?

Re: eMMC Installation: No Disk Found

I was able to create a bootable USB stick from the image you posted in the thread. I was able to get 2.19 core 109 installed this time, as it successfully saw the drive. However, when you try to boot into IPFire for the first time, I'm getting stuck on the "GRUB loading. Welcome to GRUB!" ...

IPFire OpenVPN Setup with iPhones

I have successfully configured our IPFire system to work with OpenVPN with Windows clients. However, all the instruction documents I've found for configuring the .ovpn file to work with iPhones are either vague or incomplete. I understand how to install the app, get the certificate files from IPFire...

Re: IPFire and Windows L2TP/IPSec VPN

I wanted to update this posting. We setup a test server that we could successfully connect to with a L2TP VPN connection with no firewall in front of it. We added an IPFire firewall (current version) in front of it and could no longer connect to the VPN on the test server. I took some screenshots sh...

Re: Two Internet Connections

It looks like that works. I've tried testing it successfully by adding one of my IPSec networks to the routing table on my local PC and it works as it should now. I will need to make sure I make the added routes to be persistent and then I should be able to write a script to push them out to all use...

Two Internet Connections

I am testing out a potential IPFire configuration and am having problems making it work. I have two IPFire firewalls. Each has a different Internet connection connected to the Red interface. I would like to have one firewall handle general Internet traffic and the other would handle IPSec connection...

IPFire and Windows L2TP/IPSec VPN

I am trying to setup my IPFire firewall to allow for a Windows L2TP/IPSec VPN connection. I can make it work successfully with a PPTP VPN connection and have already tried adding all ports and protocols to the firewall rules to allow the necessary traffic to go through with L2TP, but I'm just not co...

Re: IPFire 2.19 Core 105 Wireless Problem

I don't think it did anything to the drivers. It seems to have turned the WLAN off on the computer itself. Like I said, this only happened to the 4 HP Mini 1000s in my environment, all the other firewalls were fine... The boot process states that RFKill is preventing HostAPD from loading.

IPFire 2.19 Core 105 Wireless Problem

I recently updated my firewalls to v2.19 Core 105 from Core 103. After the upgrade, I had a problem with 4 of the firewalls. All are HP Mini 1000 laptops with a Red-Green-Blue configuration. IPFire recognizes the BCM43 wireless chipset during boot, but won't start HostAPD because it sees the wireles...

Re: Forwarding L2TP to an internal server

I'm very interested in figuring out how to do this. I have managed to open UDP ports 500, 1701 and 4500, but have no idea how to allow "ESP type 50" traffic through for L2TP connections.
