Re: DHCP fixe IP keine Netzwerkumgebung

Re: Not able to SSH or webgui but internet connection and network still working

If you also cannot loggon local you have a filesystem fault. (disk error or controller fault) In this case all allready running services still work until rhe next disk access, so inet will still work for a while. (Check the log console ALT+F12)

Re: Is it normal with the 110 having CUPS duplicate?.

Yes. Its a displaying bug because the cups-filters pack ads a second line to the display. It not mean that it run twice.

Re: What Linux drivers to use for GB PCI NIC?

This chipset is supported by the stock kerneldriver r8169 since long long time. It is the most popular onboard nic and should work. My backup system and the IPFire DUO use it without known probs.

What did you mean with not fully supported?

Re: Block MAC on red

The MAC Address is only valid in local networks. In internet connections this field is invalid(Address of the last passed router.) so be carefull with such rules.

Also in Wireless Networks the mac may invalid for filtering because some devices (bridges, extender) manipulate this.

Motion 4.0.1 is in testing tree because it need ffmpeg. The information that it will removed is incorrect.

Re: Core 110 Unbound Issue/Bug?

It's a combination of two bugs.
The initskript try to test if the system is still offline and the statusfile will not correct updated later.
The first is not fixed yet the fix for the second is here:

Re: backup, disk partitioning

backupctrl is the internal wrapper behind the webif backupfunction. Try

Code: Select all

backupctrl exclude

to make a backup without logs and see if there are some error messages. (The normal output should a list of the stored files).

Re: backup, disk partitioning

some files are altered after restore if there are important changes between the IPFire versions so simply restoring the files can fail if the backup is from an older version but core 105 should work. You can also try to start the backup on cmdline to see where it fails. backupctrl should print the p...

Re: backup, disk partitioning

The list is stored in /var/ipfire/backup/include but you should not touch this it will be overwritten by updates. Add your files to include.user at the same location. As i have already written a msdos partition table can only have 4 primary partitions and IPFire use all 4 so there is no space for th...

Re: backup, disk partitioning

If the /var partition is full, the backup fail because it need space for the archive. Clone the disk to a larger drive and extend the last partition (var) to the disk size. You cannot add partitions for userdata without major hacks because IPFire use all 4 possible primary partitions on a msdos part...
