Re: Stuff for testing: Kernel 4.9, docker and nDPI

How to check if geode-aes is enabled? This will improve aes speed a lot and will speed up APU and ALIX boards powered by AMD Geode embeded systems. Is this feature missing in the current release? This feature was disabled because it breaks strongwan vpn's entirely. (seems to corrupt the keys in the...

Re: DHCP interface-mtu 9000 not working

Thanks, you're saying that this has to be set in order for the DHCP server to send out an MTU of 9000? Seems surprising.

Its not needed to send this out but if the server not also have an mtu of 9000 it may loose/reject packets and the client refuse to use the new mtu after some tests.

Re: DHCP interface-mtu 9000 not working

I use this option to lowering the mtu because my modem is connected via a vlan and this work. The server only send this option parameter to the clients so i think the client will reject/ignore it. Many device drivers doesn't work with jumbo frames so you should only enable it on the maschines that r...

Most Broadcom devices need additional proprietary firmware binaries that we cannot ship without permission.

Re: Pakfire Erorr

Looks like DNS is not working on your system so pakfire.ipfire.org cannot resolved.

Check your System Time and DNS Settings. (System Time is important for DNSSec and gpg key validation)

The bug should be open (but set to "modified" after git changes or "on_qa" after pushing in testing tree) until the update is released as stable.

Re: ASUS A6U hangs at POST

Souds like the good old "large-ide-translation" problem. Go into the Bios and set the translation from "AUTO" to "LBA" because some old bios versions set the mode to "Large" if they find GRUB2 (ms-dos partition) on the hdd. -

Re: Windows Update is crazy ...

With Win10 Microsoft has changed the delivery of updates to a p2p network so also normal clients spread this updates. The Update Acclerator doesn't see this traffic and QoS is useless because there are too much sources to configure. You should enable the upload for your network on the clients to spr...

172.20.20.0/26 VLAN 1 LAN

Many switches doesn't work with VLAN1 (seems to be used for special purposes)

The other things should work. Remove green from the real nic and use vlans for green, blue and orange but keep in mind that the WebIU not support more than this three networks.

Looks like D-Link has changed the chips of the DGE-530 from Marvel to cheap Realtek. So Revision C and D schould be the same as the old DGE-528. https://thefrugaladmin.wordpress.com/2013/06/03/d-link-dge-530tdifferent-revisions-different-drivers/ http://pci-ids.ucw.cz/read/PC/1186 Please report the ...

Sounds like a storage problem on your system or an unclean shutdown with corrupting vnstat database on the drive.
In core109 is nothing changed on the traffic accounting and i have not seen other reports for this problem.

QoS is not suitable for this. It cannot difference between filetypes.

But the proxy can limit media file transfers.
