Cannot find Motion package - Core update 110

Hi,

On the release page of core 110, the package motion is mentioned. I would like to run motion on my ipfire box, but the package is not in my packages list.

Anyone got a clue on how to get the missing package in the list?

Re: Automatic Pakfire Upgrade

Just to confirm; i also do not have that option. Would be nice though, to be able updates automatically. Maybe even diffentiate between security updates en feature updates. Automatically install security updates (and even reboot if needed), but do not install feature updates. That way the system is ...

Streaming via Netflix IOS app not working when using the WebProxy in transparent mode

Also on Android it doesn't work in this situation. On AppleTV 3 it works fine, also via web on laptop.

The Sophos community has a solution for IOS, but how could this be fixed on IPFire? I can't seem to find it in the web interface....

Re: Adblocking with DNS - FreeContributor?

I get your point. The thing is: i run IPFire in a home environment. For my home, this DNS filtering is OK, even without logging. It's a part of a chain of protection mechanism's, which overlap and complement each other: 1. No excessive user rights on devices, where possible 2. Filtering (upstream DN...

Re: Adblocking with DNS - FreeContributor?

Ok, thx. Indeed, when enabling more than (the top 3) lists, the error occurs. Weird. The ideal situation, though, would be that i idjust my 'old' script to work with unbound. That, however, requires a lot of time on my side. Maybe this weekend i have some time to see if i can adjust it. On the other...

Adblocking with DNS - FreeContributor?

All, Since the change to unbound with core update 106 my ad blocking script is out-of-order. I tried the other script in this forum, but that gives me errors. Now i was looking for existing tools to replace my script, and i found https://tbds.github.io/FreeContributor/ . Is anyone running this alrea...

Re: [Script] Bad Hosts - Ad blocking & more

Although i had a great script for adblocking on 105, i decided to update to 107 and implement this script. I have some issues, though: 1. In get errors when running the script [root@fire bad-hosts]# vi bh-update.sh [root@fire bad-hosts]# ./bh-update.sh ./bh-update.sh: FAILED to load hosts from URL '...

Re: Finding out specific IP making 50MB/s downloads?

From bash it is also very possible. Install the 'iftop' utility via pakfire. Then login via ssh and run it. I think you can select the interface on which it listens, so in your case i would suggest iftop -i green0 to show which client on the internal lan is causing this. If you have multiple interfa...

Remove old "OpenVPN Roadwarrior Statistics"?

LS,

On the "OpenVPN Roadwarrior Statistics" page in the IPFire interface, there are some old entries that are not used anymore. Will those entries even disappear by themselves, or do i have to do somthing manually? And if so, what?

Re: Assign more than 2 DNS servers on Red manually (via webinterface)

Yup. Works fine.

The question now is: how to make this option availble through the web-interface, for all IPFire users?

Re: Assign more than 2 DNS servers on Red manually (via webinterface)

Why would my entries be lost after a restart, and yours not? I added the entries in /etc/init.d/dnsmasq, at exactly the same place as you did. I just removed the if statements and echoed the nameserver ip's straight into resolv.conf. Edit: changed dnsmasq to reflect the 'correct' way to do this: # O...

Re: Assign more than 2 DNS servers on Red manually (via webinterface)

Changed the dnsmasq file. I took a shortcut though; # Own entries for addidional DNS servers on RED # censurfri 91.239.100.100 echo "nameserver 91.239.100.100" >> /var/ipfire/red/resolv.conf # Google 8.8.8.8 echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" >> /var/ipfire/red/resolv.conf # End own entries Not as neat, but ...

Re: Assign more than 2 DNS servers on Red manually

Thx, i will do some testing.

I may have stated my original question wrong, though. I think it would be wise to be able to add more DNS resolvers in the web-interface, so everyone can add additional resolvers easily. 3 would be great, 4 or 5 would be ideal for me personally.

Re: Adding netdata to pakfire

Thx, it looks interesting. Will try it. Few questions:

1. How do i install this on my IPFire box? Downloading the file and the run pakfire install filename doesn't do the trick
2. Will the package interfere with my current nginx setup on my IPFire box?
