Re: Support for Raspberry Pi 3B+

So as soon as I add a second USB Ethernet adapter and set it to blue, it does not get past "Restarting Network".

It also seems quite unstable.

Re: Support for Raspberry Pi 3B+

Hi Arne.F, I actually downloaded and installed the https://nightly.ipfire.org/next/latest/armv5tel/ipfire-2.21.2gb-ext4.armv5tel-full-core126.img.xz build already and it seems like on-board LAN + Realtek USB works... so far... Is it different from: Can you try this build. I have revert a commit from...

Re: Support for Raspberry Pi 3B+

Update: With core126, I am able to use the on-board LAN (as green0) and DHCP works as expected (one issue fixed) BUT as soon as I use a second USB (any combination i.e. on-baord + USB or USB + USB) adapter, I get a massive dump of info and the system crashes. It seems to happen after there is a litt...

But this is not a kernel problem...
Does that mean it's a hardware problem (not fixable)?

Re: Support for Raspberry Pi 3B+

Hi All, So the onboard LAN doesn't work for me all. As mentioned, I have tried 2x external USB Ethernet adapters with some success. Using only one as green0 works without any issues but obviously I need both green0 + red0 for the RPi3B+ to be of any use as a firewall... Searching Google for the erro...

Re: Support for Raspberry Pi 3B+

so I got a second USB Ethernet adapter and I was able to connect red0 PPPoE but the Pi3B+ eventually crashes with a large dump of info. This is some of the /var/log/messages (I dotted ..... out some info): Nov 30 17:32:24 ipfire unbound: [1300:0] error: failed to read /var/lib/unbound/root.key Nov 3...

Re: Support for Raspberry Pi 3B+

Give it a try! I am running Core 125 also but I don't have a Pi3B+. I have tried without success :( I did notice a kernel issue in logs last night while I was trying different things. I'll have to see if I can get those logs here - I can't ssh until I have a working connection to the Pi. I may be a...

EDIT: Oops, I forgot one part. The usb: Standard Microsystems Corp. SMSC95... is the Ethernet port.
Thanks. That clears that up.

(LAN is already ok since core124 except the status LED's)
Should the Ethernet port work on the Pi3B+? I'm using core125.

Re: Support for Raspberry Pi 3B+

@JonM thanks for your response. @Arne.F LAN is already ok since core124 except the status LED's I cannot get the onboard LAN to work. Restarting dhcp and network also does not show any errors in /var/log/messages. If I use an external (Realtek Semiconductor) USB LAN interface it works as expected. I...

Re: Support for Raspberry Pi 3B+

Thank you for your reply Arne.F I have some programming experience but not at a core or kernel level - I wish I could help at this point. Just to clarify: are you saying that it is unlikely that the Pi3B+ will ever be supported or are you working on it so that the Pi3B+ will be supported eventually?...

Support for Raspberry Pi 3B+

Hello,

I just purchased a Raspberry Pi 3B+ without properly reading the ipfire documentation :-[ . I found that it does not work as seen on this page: https://wiki.ipfire.org/hardware/arm/rpi/threeplus

My question is obviously when will it be fully supported?

Re: Huawei K5150 wont connect

I have yet to come right with this issue. The switch works perfectly on Win 7 & 10, Ubuntu 14.04 and I am able to use the device. I have gone as far as trying to install a gcc compiler to compile new drivers that I downloaded from http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/ but it seems quite difficu...
