Re: Problem changing tor node in update 134

Pakfire update finally worked, but now my Tor relay IP address settings are wrong, and I can't change them from the Gui.

Re: Pakfire not working. Cannot update core 120 to 121

This thing is bone stock, and it contains a 100GB SSD. Understand that has no relevance to partition size, but why would IPfire make the partition THAT small? The whole point of this exercise was to build "minimalist appliance" and trouble free - with purpose built code. But if I hafta rebuild this ...

Pakfire not working. Cannot update core 120 to 121

Pakfire shows last update 42 days ago, and will not change after refresh.

Baffled now - because past updates have been pretty easy. This one intimidates.

I use this box within an outer router demilitarized zone EXCLUSIVELY as a Tor relay. That's why I'm back into it now. need to bring it up to date.

Box now frozen. Pakfire update 1.20 with Tor.

I can't open port 444 any longer. Upon power down reboot, the port 444 page appears briefly....but later disappears. What next? I let it sit for a long time and it's back online now. Have never experienced such a long update, but this is an Atom machine. http://www.bcmcom.com/product_spec/spec_MX945...

Re: Any chance we'll see a Tor update on Pakfire soon?

Bad news. The new tor nightly build needs an updated OpenSSL, This will shipped with core120. Before this the nightly version will not work. Thanks for the effort. Guess my caution was warranted :) Wish those Tor people would lighten up. They've cut our traffic in half because of the version change...

Any chance we'll see a Tor update on Pakfire soon?

Tor is pretty aggressive at downgrading those even one release behind.......

"What happens when you upset Google" - IT Pro

https://archive.is/MOmVi This piece gave me another kick to stop my procrastinating. Accordingly, I'd like to find a way to help decentralize the web via a dedicated IpFire search engine appliance. Now I tried this years ago, but didn't have much to show for it. That Yacy software just did not work ...

Meltdown & Spectre patches ?

IPFire is a "most relied upon box" here. Any user should be worried right now.

Hi, You can find the Tor 3.1.9. package in the nightly's. I can confirm this package works. I hope it will be available via pakfire with the next Core update. Regards, Edwin. Curently, IPFIRE is the only plug and play Tor relay available, and it's probably *the* best option for many. It's unfortuna...

The IPFire Captive Portal Feature request

1. A switch to turn off the login screen completely.

2. Some absolute method of *only* allowing Signal Private Messenger traffic (or other selected communications tools).

Making this portal usable only for communications.....

Tor Pakfire Socks proxy - How do I force a WIFI AP to push everything

through the socks proxy?

I can't find any wifi APs which will do this natively, and am trying to avoid setting up yet another linux box to get this done.

Surely there is a cheap and effective way to do this?
