Re: Raspberry Pi 4
Came across this as I was looking for something else:

Full disclosure: I have not tried this yet.

Re: Raspberry Pi 4
There is a firmware update for the Raspberry Pi 4B that lowers the temp a few degrees. I've found a few links but I have not located the Official Raspberry Pi fix. There is a concern about USB 3 speed slow-downs after applying the new firmware. My Raspi 4B is not overheating or throttling that I've ...

Help Monitoring Data Caps
Our ISP has a 1 TB data cap and I'm quickly approaching the limit. In October I've used 2x more data in the first 15 days than any time in the past and I cannot find the high use device. I looked at the ISP web site and it states I've used 757 GB. I look at the Net-Traffic Utilization-overview (menu...

Re: DDNSUpdateError: The update could not be performed
@Phane, Check if your token is the same between freedns.afraid.org and the IPFire Dynamic DNS page. Mine was different for some odd reason. Once I set them to the same token my errors disappeared. I do not know why the token changed. FYI - the token is the 44 character hexadecimal freedns.afraid.org...

Re: Ipfire wireless client
How do you get this dialog to setup the WLAN connection ? Maybe the card is not in the hardware compatibility list. Requirements You will see the menu option only, if the system found a wireless adapter that is supported by the wireless stack. A list of all working wireless adapters can be found on...

Re: New setup
On the Wireless Configuration web page, I think you have to click on the blue pencil plus. And that adds it to the Devices on BLUE list. And then go to the menu Network > Web Proxy . Scroll down to Network based access control and add your wireless subnet: 192.168.1.0/24 disclaimer: I'm not an exper...

Re: DDNSUpdateError: The update could not be performed
I use freedns.afraid.org and see the same errors. The last successful for me was Aug 31. 21/09:55:11 ddns[7968]: Dynamic DNS update for xxxxxx.xxxxxx.xxxxxx (freedns.afraid.org) failed: 21/09:55:11 ddns[7968]: DDNSResolveError: Could not resolve DNS entry I'll dig through the logs for other info. If...

Re: some valid domains getting blocked
I've tried changing my NTP time server settings and update frequency, without success. NTP always seemed "off" to me. To fix drift issues I added the servers to my ntp.conf: [root@ipfire ~]# cat /etc/ntp.conf disable monitor restrict default kod nomodify notrap nopeer restrict 127.0.0.1 server 0.us...

Re: some valid domains getting blocked
from your signature it says Virtualized on VMWare... Is it possible to locate an old PC and build it up as new IPfire box (maybe without a restore) and see if the issues exist (or disappear) with a separate piece of hardware?

Re: some valid domains getting blocked
So the phone app works and the IPFire wget works. And the desktop/laptop computer cannot get to the websites. Is that correct?
Is it multiple computers that cannot access those site? Or just one?

Re: some valid domains getting blocked
Sorry to say all of the listed websites (listed here - https://forum.ipfire.org/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=23264#p126871) are accessible for me. I can see a webpage for all. This website just shows one line of text. http://apps.webster.edu - shows "Index page for apps.webster.edu" I'd suggest turning thin...
