Re: Filesystem full: /dev/sda3 Free=0%
Arne I believe I may have identified the source of the problem...... My configuration has 3 zones, red, green and blue running on a HP 6200 Pro with i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz and 16Gig of RAM 128G SSD drive. The system has a "built-in" gigabit ethernet card. Initially, I had installed 3 intel PCI-Expres...

Re: Filesystem full: /dev/sda3 Free=0%
I have the same thing. In my case, I found several directories under /tmp. They contained a single HUGE files. As I did a tail -100 on one of them, I saw the following: "223.255.128.0","223.255.191.255","3758063616","3758079999","HK","Hong Kong" "223.255.192.0","223.255.223.255","3758080000","375808...

MAC address on red0 - How to clear it
I am running IPFire 2.23 (x86_64) - Core Update 136. At some point, I entered a value for the new MAC address...... I think to remember that it was done so that I could swap out the red card without having to release the lease of my internet provider (i.e. FIOS). Now, I am trying to clear out that f...

Re: Blue to Green NOT blocked!
Arne that did indeed fix the problem. One more question. As I mentioned before, I have a green network: 192.168.111.0/24 blue network: 192.168.112.0/24 OpenVPN Netowrk: 192.168.20.0/24 Which one should I list in the "Network based access control" box? right now I have both the green and the blue lis...

Blue to Green NOT blocked!
I just noticed a peculiar behavior. Running IPFire 2.23 (x86_64) - Core Update 131 with 3 ethernet cards, Red, Green and Blue. Blue is connected to a Ubiquity AP with security disabled. I am controlling access to the Wi-Fi by creating entries in the "blue access" for each device I want to grant acce...

Re: I may have oversized my ipfire systems!
Arne just wanted to report back. I have successfully migrated one of the 2 systems to the DQ45CB motherboard with Pentium 4 3.4GHZ/2M and 4Gig RAM. I followed your advice and installed a 128GB SSD card. I am also running Snort and Guardian. I also added a TrueRNG V3 - USB Hardware Random Number Gene...

Host ignores redirects
As I look at the Kernel log, every day I see a ton of these entries. 192.168.1.74 is my laptop 192.168.1.12 is my web server 192.168.1.11 is my mail server Why are these entries being generated? Is there a way to "fix" it? Thanks Renato 09:28:52 kernel: IPv4: host 192.168.1.74/if3 ignores redirects ...

Re: I may have oversized my ipfire systems!
Arne Thanks for the reply. Few more follow up questions. Can I use a backup from the I5 and restore it on the P4? I am trying to avoid have to re-enter the DHCP Server and the Blue Access lists. Is it possible to perhaps just restore those 2 lists? Lastly, will this IPSec configuration still work on...

I may have oversized my ipfire systems!
Ok I may have gone overboard with the configuration. Here is my network configuration: Site 1) Internet Speed: 100/100 OpenVPN with 2-3 users IPSec connecting to Site 2 Zones:Red-Green-Blue About 10 computers connected to the Green and about 5 to Blue Site 2) Internet Speed: 25/5 (but could go up to...

Re: Update 123 OpenVPN Host Zertifikat RFC3280 nicht Regelkonform
ummeegge That was indeed the problem. Uploaded the new version of ovpn.cnf and the problem was solved. For whatever it is worth..... I started with version 119 (if I remember correctly) and have upgraded since without ever doing a restore from backup. One more question. I am using IPSec with certifi...

DHCP page - Hostname
As a legacy IPCop user who has migrated to ipFire, I noticed that the DHCP page does not allow for the "hostname" to be entered and/or displayed. These are the only fields present. MAC Address IP address Remark next-server filename root path Action Is there a way to add the hostname to the gui? Than...
