Re: Permanent second IP for green interface

Thanks for reply, but question - what is opposite command for ifconfig green0:0 192.168.3.254 in case when /etc/sysconfig/firewall.local supports such syntax? When not - what is proper syntax for that command.

Re: Automatic change of public IP in case of DDOS attack

Our ISP has reported about DDOs attacks on NTP port of Ipfire when they blocked our [target] public IP, and such attacks are also supported by records in ipfire firewall logs. I don't know how do they identify a DDOS. Our ISP also is surprised by such attacks. The frequency of attacks varies from on...

Automatic change of public IP in case of DDOS attack

We have multiple public IP adresses (but one physical connection to one ISP) on RED, but only one can be set as gateway for accessing internet from Green/Blue/Orange. Our site is often attacked by DDOS attacks and in case of such attack our ISP is blocking target public IP. When such blocking occurs...

Ipfire box trying connect to sinkhole - how to find source?

Hi!
My ipfire box has firewall rule that blocks all connections to sinkhole (192.42.116.41).
Every 5 to 20 mins (variable time) someone tries connecting to that IP as shown in firewall log (see attached picture).
x.x.250.188 is public IP of my RED interface. Is my Ipfire box infected? How to explore?

Well why software user to become a programmer???? 1) possible (i don't know and have no tested) Ipfire's Mailservice is not necessarily enabled for sending mails from scripts. 2) sendmail has no [normal] options for mail content. Mail content (including Subject) must be prepared by script in separat...

Re: Pound -> Apache Remote_Addr

May be HeadRemove "X-Forwarded-For" not needed because logic is to remove header which contains remote IP (for what pound is making redirection/NATing).
