Possible QoS bug - Per IP limit NOT working

No matter how I try I cannot seem to throttle speed for port 80 and 443 access to a specific LAN ip. I have tried adding a port rule to a class numbered less than the web traffic class as well as tried a class numbered higher than the web traffic class, but transfer remains flowing at full speed. Ki...

Re: Bandwidth limit for specific domain

Thank you for your reply. My connection is fast enough too, however unfortunately I am currently allowed only 100 GB traffic a month.

Re: Bandwidth limit for specific domain

Thank you for your information. Yes, the sites use Akamai.net

Is it possible instead to apply QoS based on the IP of the streaming devices. Let's say a chromecast with ip x.x.x.x how is that done?

Best regards

Bandwidth limit for specific domain

I would like to set a bandwidth limit using QoS for ssl traffic from a specific domain (TV streaming site).

Is that possible, and how?

Re: Huawei E3372h usb modem

I looked into this again, and it appears I made a typo. The command should be: echo -ne 'AT^NDISDUP=1,1,"websp"\n\r' > /dev/ttyUSB0 Then connection is established. Now I had to edit /var/ipfire/ethernet/settings RED_DEV=wwan0 then I ran connscheduler reconnect and internet is working. (IP is DHCP as...

Re: Raspberry PI 2B and 3B

Thank you for your replies. I tried several times from Windows and failed so I decided to try from Raspbian instead: 1. Download https://downloads.ipfire.org/releases/ipfire-2.x/2.23-core134/ipfire-2.23.2gb-ext4.armv5tel-full-core134.img.xz 2. Extract using xz 3. Write image using dd 4. Edit uEnv.tx...

Huawei E3372h usb modem

I am no longer able to get online with this stick in ipfire 2.19 on Raspberry PI 2B (berryboot).

In Raspbian I get online within a few seconds using

echo -en 'AT^NDISUP=1,1,"websp"\n\r' > /dev/ttyUSB0

When I type the same from the console in ipfire I don't.

Any suggestions?

Best regards

Raspberry PI 2B and 3B

Since IPfire 2.19 core 120, which I have had running under berryboot, I have not been able to boot IPFire images (from your download section) on Raspberry PI 2B nor on Raspberry PI 3B.

I wonder if I am doing something wrong?

Best regards
