ssh port on WUI

Recently I noticed that in WUI, the setting SSH port set to 222 (default is 22) is reversed. Meaning: SSH port set to 222 (default is 22) is ticket = the port will be 22 SSH port set to 222 (default is 22) is not ticked = the port will be 222 Should be the other way around. Not a serious problems, b...

Re: firewall.local

I know this is a an old post, but better not to create a new post imho for the same problem. I get the same error message iptables: No chain/target/match by that name , but only while booting. If I reload with ./firewall.local reload or stop then start, I do not get the error. Somehow I think the sc...

Re: Problems update Guardian 2.0.2

Today my IPFIre crashed hard for some reason.
I had to reinstall from scratch.
After enabling IDS on red, selecting some rules and clicking save, the rules setup is not saved. I guess this goes deeper than just Guardian.
Using sourcefire VRT for registered users.
Repeated several times, same result.

Re: Problems update Guardian 2.0.2

Think I found the fix to this. After many uninstalls reinstalls, service stop and starts with no success in getting guardian working again.. Until in Guardian Configuration interface, I set "monitor snort alert file" to OFF, then save setting, then set "monitor snort alert file" to ON and save sett...

Re: URL filter

I would disable NAT on HG695B and set it to bridge. The ISP is able to do that.
Avoid double NAT as it will create a lot of problems.

Re: APC USV

This is the english forum.
Nevertheless, ssh to your IPFire and locate /etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf
Edit to suit your needs.
My UPS is on USB, but i guess for a networked UPS like yours, you would need the "nut" package from pakfire.

Re: IPFire router doubling as NAS device. Safe bet?

You want a cheap and low power NAS, get a Raspberry Pi.
I would not advise using the router as the main NAS. Maybe a backup NAS (to backup the main NAS to it)

/etc/rc.d/init.d/sshd restart did not fix the overall issue for me. For whatever odd reason I had to reboot twice to get it to work.
No need for a reboot after service restart. Go to WUI/Main/SSH Access and disable access+save then enable access+save.

Re: Question about IPSec Net-to-Net

Maybe https://ipfire:444/cgi-bin/routing.cgi can help
Just add the green network/mask with the gateway being the Fortigate device IP accesible via ipsec.

Re: OpenVPN Status Conflict?

In my opinion, you are correct.
When OpenVPN is stopped, tun0 does not show up on ifconfig.
Then again, it is easy for me to complain instead of learning how to fix this and submit a patch. :(

Re: Service Squid and Speedlimit

Tested with an old kernel and the same CPU usage, so I guess I was wrong or there is more then the kernel to blame here.
I can only say: get a better CPU or disable proxy :(

Re: Problema en filtrado de paginas

Welcome to the forum.
1. Use search. Has been discussed in the past regarding filtering for https websites.
2. This is an english forum not spanish and google translate cannot work wonders.
3. Your local lan is 192.168.2.1 but your DHCP gives you 192.168.1.100? Something is not right.
