Re: URL is not loading properly internet while crossing through the ipfirewall.

Sent a request for the clairvoyance staff to be online, but I am told, none are present at the moment.. hint: if you want help, 1st step is to describe the problem you are having with as much info as you can. A simple diagram of your network. What exactly is not working. What steps you took to debug...

Re: How to distribute names without host files

"both on the LAN and on the Internet" did not make it clear you only want it LAN side. On my setup, if I ping any names listed as lease on DHCP page, it works. Just be sure to use the internal IP of IPFire as DNS server. As in: ping android-a1f9fd278ee23982 Pinging android-a1f9fd278ee23982.local [19...

Re: How to distribute names without host files

Are you using public/routeable IPs behind IPFire?
Because using a private class like 192.168.111.0 will do you no good.

Re: petition: support for dns-over-tls

I did not read too much on dns over tls, but my take on this, if you just want your ISP to not track you without a VPN, is that you cannot. Even if you use a secured DNS and the website you are visiting is https, your ISP can still see that you visited that website. You visit https://www.somenastysi...

Re: Why so many open ports ?

Dear, no need for capital letters.
IPFire is my router.
I see no reason to use an extra router in front of my IPFire.

I think you should stick to using a plain old commercial router of your choosing.

Re: Why so many open ports ?

I replied to another post of yours which you seem to have deleted.

You messed up something in your WUI setup.
By default, no ports are open on red.
Start from scratch I would say.

Re: Fireinfo Location

It is determined via geolocation.
Check https://www.iplocation.net for example.
Does it show the correct country?

Re: RED interface failing to get IP through DHCP

Setup an Asus RT-AC68U in front of my IPFire and setup IPFire to get red0's IP via DHCP.
After I reboot my Asus router, machines behind IPFire have internet as soon as Asus has internet.
Also, IPFire gets the same IP after Asus reboot.

Re: Can not access internet

From a device behind IPFire, the command ping google.com works?
From IPFire the same command works?
