Re: Can IPFire block Windows Network Discovery (LLTD) traffic?

Maybe try blocking private classes on RED (incoming)? 1.Define a Network group in "Firewall/Firewall Groups > Network/ Host Groups" like this: https://s30.postimg.org/492f7qrq9/2.png 2.Add a firewall rule to block access from the above defined private networks like this: https://s11.postimg.org/m8s8...

I am afraid I do not quite understand your topology.
Is this what you have?

And you mean to say that the computer on top can see a list of the computers on the bottom?

Latency and cpufrequtils

Hello, It seems that while using cpufrequtils and the system is idle, the latency to an outside host will jump from 1-2 ms to a steady 5 ms. While idle, the CPU will run at 800 Mhz, which I think should be plenty. To test this, I installed and ran: sysbench --test=cpu run During sysbench testing, th...

Re: Install on M.2 Samsung SM951 Series

Using the flash image I have successfully started IPFire from my Samsung SM-951 SSD. I have to say it was a lengthy process just because my main computer does not have an M.2 port so I had to install Windows on another hard drive, get http://m0n0.ch/wall/physdiskwrite.php and write the image to the ...

Install on M.2 nvme - not booting

Hello, Anyone succeeded installing IPFire on an M.2 SSD like http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/products/flash-storage/client-ssd/MZVPV128HDGM?ia=831 ? For me, the install goes without an error, but it cannot boot. Grub is being installed, but it cannot find the UUID and leaves me in grub rescue. ...

[SOLVED] apcupsd shutdown UPS

Hello, Today I had my first prolonged power blackout. The IPFire machine was cleanly shutdown by apcupsd but the UPS itself was not powered off. Tested 3 times just to be sure. Anyone has any idea about how can I setup apcupsd to killpower the UPS before halt? The reason is that if the IPFire machin...

DDNSNotFound

Hello, later edit: it seems to have fixed by itself. Still have no clue what caused this error. even later edit: after a router reboot, the problem is back. Might be because the ddns script runs before the PPPoE connection is actually established. Waiting 12 hours or so for the next update is a pain...
