Re: vmware esxi - neuinstallation - kernel panic - Core 131

It doesn't make much sense to describe your hardware only. Virtual solutions like vmware, Virtualbox, ... establish a virtual hardware. This is the base on which a operating system like IPFire is installed. Because this OS can't even handle all possible hardware devices, a second layer of complexity...

Re: Firewall rules do not work (UPDATE)

@Donaldo: Hello, rules seems ok, you must have a service open with port 9600 on IP 10.0.0.80 obviously and you reach it ie http://WANIP:9600 but you need run apache open with port 9600 rigth ? Andrea T. I've just checked this. The port is shown open only, if there is service running on the destinati...

This is not true!

Re: DHCP Fixed IP assignment problem temp solution

First, I should say I am not a Linux guru or even close. I am a more newbie, so the following my be over explained for some. For me, it was all unfamiliar until I started troubleshooting and investigating the problem I was having. There are issues in IPFire Core 131 with creating fixed leases in th...

Re: Suricata vs Guardian: Loss of IP blocking

As Michael stated in bugzilla, the discussion should also take place in the development mailing list. The forum reaches the broad audience of all users, but isn't read sometimes by the core developpers. The mailing list is read more frequent read by those guys, which can/will implement these feature...

Re: Fixed IP assignment under DHCP

It wasn't hard to fix.
But not easy to find, because I wished to understand what's going on. ;)

One more case for encouraging of testing by a broad audience.

Re: Fixed IP assignment under DHCP

Adding a new fixed lease at the moment does add the entry on the first click, but it isn't sorted in ( thus being the topmost entry in table ). The update just rewrites the information and does the sort. Bug #12050 was introduced by "forgetting" to save the entry in the first step. One reason more f...

Re: DHCP statische IP vergeben?

Re: Fixed IP assignment under DHCP

I have removed the "patch". It was a quick and dirty workaround, which didn't solve the problem really. Sorry. I have added a new file to my post above, which will be send as patch to the devel list. Please test and report. This just a bug fix for #12050. My work on this WUI function will go further...

Re: DHCP statische IP vergeben?

Du kannst gerne mal die beigefügte Datei verwenden.
- Archiv in ein beliebiges Verzeichnis auspacken
- /srv/web/ipfire/cgi-bin/dhcp.cgi sichern ( sicher ist sicher )
- dhcp.cgi nach /srv/web/ipfire/cgi-bin/dhcp.cgi kopieren

Über Rückmeldungen wäre ich sehr dankbar.
