Re: Upgraded to Core 131 - can't enable IPS

Have you updated at least to core132 (because in core131 is a bug in the rule downloader and a secund in the stopping routine that prevent a new start)
If yes try to change the rule update interval to weekly press save and then set it back to daily.

After this you should able to start the ips again.

Re: apcupsd on RPi

The latest apcupsd 3.14.14 is from 2016 and seems unmaintained, maybee not working... To skip the start at boot try to add "skipinit=apcupsd" at the kernel commandline or mount the filesystem in an other linux pc and add "exit 0" to etc/init.d/apcupsd After this the system should boot and you can re...

Re: Cannot SSH or Rsync to Remote Centos 7 Server

Rules that allow "ANY" to "ANY" are dangerous and should never used. You should always specify on of the networks. (Best the source, only if this is red you should specify the destination instead) Rule 16 and 17 prevent ssh from working because you open the port from anywhere and you redirect it to ...

Re: VDRadmin Fernseher (watch tv) ohne Bild

Re: Not resolving domains

I have not sayd that cloudflare always fail. It only sometimes does strange things. Most it looks like this: [root@EeePC ~]# /etc/init.d/unbound test-name-server 1.1.1.1 1.1.1.1 is validating 1.1.1.1 supports TCP fallback EDNS buffer size for 1.1.1.1: 4096 Which is OK. OpenDNS always fail: [root@Eee...

Re: Not resolving domains

Opendns will not work with IPFire because they strip the DNSSec signatures.

cloudflare seems somtimes give strange answers, they are even blocked by the IPS without log entry because the dns packet decoder fails not by triggering a rule.

Maybee one server behind 1.1.1.1 is/was faulty

Re: Fresh core 133 install missing several graphs

Linux store the time in utc to the rtc-chip. If the rtc was on local time and IPFire has no internet at first boot the graphs need some hours to work. (Depending on your timezone)

Re: NIC drivers

IPFire assign the name by the MAC Address if the hardware change this it will not reassign the correct name. Many systems use the same driver for all nics. On other possible reason may be also data loss on the root filesystem. Do you use the Flashimage or an installed version? The flashimage has no ...

Re: Thunderbird and Outlook Not Working

From green to red all connections are allowed with the default policy. If you have not added a block rule or changed the policy mail has to work out of the box. There are no port forwards needed (they are needed only to forward a port from RED to a local system.) Please post more details about your ...
