Check if your local IP is in Guardian block list

If you also cannot loggon local you have a filesystem fault. (disk error or controller fault) In this case all allready running services still work until rhe next disk access, so inet will still work for a while. (Check the log console ALT+F12)

I can log in local like physical access, but not SSH or GUI.

Hi,

Check status of 'apache' and 'guardian':

Code: Select all

root@ipfire: ~ # /etc/init.d/apache status
httpd is running with Process ID(s) 5902 5901 5772 5771 5770 5769 5744 5743 5742 3122.

Code: Select all

root@ipfire: ~ # /etc/init.d/guardian status
guardian is running with Process ID(s) 3176.
Various commands for 'guardian':

Code: Select all

root@ipfire: /usr/bin # /usr/bin/guardianctrl
Guardian 2.0
Usage: guardianctrl <command> <optional arguments>
block <address> Block the given IP-address.
unblock <address> Unblock the given IP-address.

 flush Unblock/Flush all blocked IP-addresses.
status Display whether guardian is running and some details.

 reload Reload the configuration.
reload-ignore-list Force guardian to reload/regenerate its ignore list.
logrotate Tell guardian that the monitored files have been rotated by logrotate.
List chain 'GUARDIAN':

Code: Select all

iptables -S GUARDIAN
or

Code: Select all

iptables -L GUARDIAN
or

Code: Select all

iptables -t filter --list

HTH,

/etc/init.d/apache status

Code: Select all

Running Process Id(s) 2688 2687 2552
Seem quite less than yours, i have removed guardian using pakfire command not sure if that good idea.

Code: Select all

iptables -L GUARDIAN
seem to give me a empty list.

What should i do next?

Hi,

I would try something like:

Code: Select all

netstat -tapen | grep 444
or

Code: Select all

netstat -tapen | grep 222
That should give you the IP where 'httpd' is 'listening' - second command is looking for SSH.

Output should be similar to this:
root@ipfire: ~ # netstat -tapen | grep 444
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:444 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 0 15430
tcp 0 0 [IPFIRE_GREEN_IP]:444 [WORKSTATION_IP]:49440 ESTABLISHED 99 14484889
tcp 467 0 [IPFIRE_GREEN_IP]:444 [WORKSTATION_IP]:49438 CLOSE_WAIT 99 14484229
or
root@ipfire: ~ # netstat -tapen | grep 222
tcp 0 48 [IPFIRE_GREEN_IP]:222 [WORKSTATION_IP]:49441 ESTABLISHED 0 14484411 22244/0
For me, both are 'ESTABLISHED'. For you, state on IPFIRE_GREEN_IP should be at least 'LISTENING'.

Check if IPFIRE_GREEN_IP and WORKSTATION_IP are in the same subnet.

HTH,
Matthias
