ipfire kernel warning

Post by y5T6H2M6p9 » September 2nd, 2018, 11:22 pm

About once/day, this message is displayed on the console of this ipfire system.

This Dell has 2 GB of memory. Ran multiple passes of memtest for several hours with no errors.

The hard disk has no bad sectors.

The red + green + blue network interfaces show no errors, drops, overruns. etc.

It looks like this is related to the Qualcomm Atheros AR922X Wireless Network Adapter on the blue WiFi NIC. Correct? What should I do?

Hello,

I got the same kind of issue : sometimes my computer hangs and this message is displayed on the screen.
Note: I cannot show the full message as the computer got blocked and only the visible part of it can be read.

Hardware used :
- Intel Celeron 1.1Ghz, Intel i815e chipset, 512MB RAM.
- Red interface: Intel 82801 (10/100 integrated ethernet)
- Green interface: SMC EPIC/100 (10/100 PCI ethernet)
- Blue interface: Atheros AR9227 (wireless PCI)
IPfire version : 2.21 core update 123, 32bits version.

EDIT: It is a hardware issue from the old SMC card. I replaced the card, and no issue encountered until now.
