how to capture traffic to port 443 / https ( not caching the site )

Post by ingenetic » January 9th, 2019, 8:32 am

Hi all,

is that possible to capture traffic on LAN, which go to port https ? for your information, i'm not going to caching the site, just for only to grab the link url it self.

using ipfire with web proxy feature.

Thanks n regards,

Why not setup a sniffer on the LAN and then you will get what you need ?
Why try to do that when there are other means to do captures.
Wireshark does a good job

Did wireshark can do that things? i mean it show the link of url ( http & https ) ? not just an ip address ?
if can, did anyone here any tutorial for wireshark ?

and how about the position of wireshark ? same level with mikrotik ? or on LAN ?
my topology now similar like this :

and please let me know if any other software can do beside ipfire and wireshark.

Thanks n regards,
