Update accelerator: max disk usage seems not to be respected !

Post by tikok974 » August 19th, 2019, 10:43 am

Hi everybody,

I put 75% max disk usage on Update Accelerator settings and this setting seems not to be respected because Update accelerator add new files !

Is it a bug or did I miss something in the configuration ?

Many thanks

This setting should set the update accelerator at 75% disk full to no adding mode. But if other services (logs, samba ...) continue to write to the same disk they will filled over 75%.

Im not sure if this box works...

The limit should work. You can check it in the system log. Update Accelerator logs all requests not stored to its cache.
The percentage shown on the web interface is the usage of the partition, where /var/updatecache is located ( usually this is right, in case of a link to another partition, e.g. an ExtraHD, it is wrong). This value is used for switching to passive mode.

Does UX still work? There has been an unofficial update somewhere around, which was never implemented IMO.
Regarding Windows updates, UX might work or not, correct?
