hostapd force 40 MHz channels

Post by digiz12 » April 13th, 2015, 8:49 pm

Can this be implemented in IPfire?
https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php? ... z-channels
or
https://www.brunsware.de/blog/gentoo/hostapd-40 mhz-disable-neighbor-check.html

I have a lot of neighbors, some of them force 40 mhz mode so wifi is crowded, signals are weak, but strong enough to disturb hostapd in 40 mhz mode.
I like to have faster data transfer.
Channel 1 and 13 are free, can hostapd use this range, or only second 4 channels away?
I need very weak signal, 5mW or less is enough, so my wifi is not visible to others.

My belkin router can also force 40 mhz mode, but i like to have blue interface on IPfire.

thx
