using 126 already.

indeed a full install of 127 might be the only method to fix this issue.

I am using a re-purposed HDD so no need for your suggestion about SDD

My suggestion was about SD not SSD.

How are you able to get IPFire to boot from HDD on Banana Pi ?

I finally got around to fix this with success!

On my webserver hosted locally with lan address 192.168.1.15
I made a new directory called: packfire2 under /var/www/html
Changed permissions to 777
I used Filezilla to connect to ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/ipfire/pakfire2
used another host on a VPN [due to being in china] to download folder; 2.21-x86_64/lists to my 192.168.1.15/pakfire2 lan address
I changed the original server-list.db file by SSH into my local Ipfire and edited in 192.168.1.15/pakfire2
then on gui of Ipfire, go to pakfire, update, all worked!

enjoy doing all of that! it did work. version 126 > 131

But the current stable version is IPFire 2.23 core135 but there is no way to autoupdate because the old arm bootloader is incompatible with the new kernel. Also the dumb broadcom switch on the lamobo need a different config so it is needed to reinstall IPFire 2.23 (maybee without rsstoring a backup or manual reconfigre the switch after restore)
