Spandsp missing in Core 112?

Post by dark_Viper » August 26th, 2017, 10:24 pm

Hello, I am trying to configure Fax support for Asterisk on Ipfire. I've installed asterisk with pakfire and it is working fine for voice connections. But when I try to use a fax channel it fails with errors that indicate that the spandsp library is missing. I can't find spandsp in my pakfire list. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for any help
Marion

Hello,

there should be a package "spandsp" available. At least in the testing tree.

What happens when you execute "pakfire install spandsp"?

I found it in the testing tree as you said. I couldn't get it to work nevertheless. Asterisk still works as if it wasn't there. Maybe it is compiled without spandsp support. But never mind. I'm working on a different solution.

Thanks
Marion
