Real time network monitor

Post by donaldo » March 21st, 2013, 10:06 am

Hi to all

I have a question: someone can create a plugin for Real time network monitor?
For monitoring use of network user in real time.
A web version of iftop or sqstat ( http://samm.kiev.ua/sqstat/ but this is only for http traffic )

I think it's very useful for normal use

thanks

Sqstat is available
(not as addon, but with a little knowlodge in linux is easy as 1 2 3)

Check this out:
http://forum.ipfire.org/http://forum.ipfire.org//viewtopic.php?p=46739#p46739

I followed the steps and worked as a charm.

What do you mean by integrated?

It works fine in all my servers, the only difference its cuz' don´t have links in the webgui or a quick addon installer.

But, its fully integrated.

I think he's saying he wants to click on a tab on the IPfire web page and have a nice, pretty real time graph to view right there in the browser.

but the best will be a very plugin for monitoring in real time the utilization of the network.

I can send money in the wishlist if someone want to develop a real time network monitor based on javascript and iftop (like smoothwall i think, if someone is able to convert the code into the ipfire )

thanks

I've been using ipfire for many many years. I came from smoothwall and I really liked the real-time bandwidth graph. I remember asking for this feature way back then. I'm surprised it was never added.

I'd still like to see it added to the gui.
