Support for Random Number Generator USB Hardware?

Post by extrasolar » July 31st, 2018, 10:24 am

Hi folks,

does IPfire support RNG USB commercial Products?
Stumbled upon:
  • ChaosKey (should work out of the box with kernel 4.1)

Wikipedia: Comparison of hardware random number generators

I am looking for a cheap HW RNG to retrofit my IPfire hardware.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know. I have never tested any of these products, but if they generally work with Linux, they should work with IPFire, too.

If you want to contact the vendors and send one to us, we can test :)
