Looking to get an outdoor Wifi Antenna hooked up and they seem to terminate in USB, I guess into the very popular Wireless routers.

Im using Ipfire on an older Pentium3 machine and its got I believe (2) USB 1.0 ports.

Is there any chance of developing USB wireless support for Ipfire at all?

IPFire already support Wireless Cards via USB2.0 e.g. Ralink RT5572 based devices. (This chipset is also used in the IPFire DUO.) Also other Chipsets from Zydas or Atheros (9K-HTC) are supported.

https://wiki.ipfire.org/hardware/networking scroll down to USB WLAN-Adapter

USB 1.0 (1.5mbit raw Data Rate) will not supported by any Wireless Chip.
USB 1.1 (12mbit works with some chipsets but is slooooooow.... (ca 4mBit data transfer because the raw rate is devided by two and there is overhead)

Hardware is so cheap and accessible.
Why not just upgrade your hardware.
Even if it was doable the performance would be lacking :)
You will enjoy thing more if you just upgrade your equipment.
