AES-N1 for Intel Motherboards

Post by artspace » January 3rd, 2019, 7:24 am

I'm thinking of building a new ipfire fire wall using a Jetway JNF692G6-420 motherboard.
https://www.jetwaycomputer.com/NF692.html

The CPU has the instruction set for the newer AES, which is AES-N1.
Is this going to be supported in the future, or Is it currently supported?

When I type in the "Search" box, in this forum, neither AES nor AES-N1 return any results...

Thanks for any information on this...

The I stands for Instructions not for Intel. New AMD's supports also AES-New Instructions.

AES-NI is supported since IPFire 2.17
